A 62-year-old Australian female presented with occasional pains in the chest and epigastric pain. Her medical doctor suspected a heart disorder, but extensive cardiovascular tests and scans proved to be inconclusive and her medical consultant could not help her further.
Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis showed that her Vata was elevated, and her pain worsened at around 4 p.m., further indicating that Vata was the aggravating factor. Further nabhi examination revealed mis-aligned nabhi and accumulation of Gas in the epi-gastric region.
Through Abhyanga, Ayurvedic herbs, Vata pacifying diet and specific yoga sequence Vata was significantly reduced and her pain disappeared after 4- weeks and she has continued to enjoy good health.
